Position Title: Lease Records Supervisor

Location: Houston, Texas

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with internal/external audits, data conversions, and other special projects
  • Acreage and Lease reports for management
  • Payment and non-payment obligations – Review Land calendar for data accuracy and confirm MR status before submitting to Landmen
  • Analyze and interpret leases, deeds, agreements, contracts and title opinions, contracts and other ownership documents for input and maintenance into land system.
  • Monitor Shut-in Report & review leases to determine if payment is required
  • Acquisition clean-up
  • Maintaining new well relationships to leases & contracts
  • Train and mentor junior level Analysts
  • Conduct research and other assigned special projects.
  • Performs other additional duties assigned by Supervisor.
  • Review daily IT reports for action that is needed
  • Managing last well on lease
  • Verify interest in leasehold acreage and depths and monitor expirations to keep records up to date
  • Utilize online databases to pull official records, including federal, state, and county
  • The primary focus of the role is maintenance of data integrity across all records

Skills and Relevant Experience:

  • Advanced abilities in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and work habits
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lease Analyst
  • Experience with PakEnergy and W Energy Land System
  • Experience working with state and federal leases within the Piceance Basin
