Description:

Terra Energy is looking for motivated technical professionals to join our team, supporting our Piceance Basin asset.  This role will primarily be responsible for completing the development of and maintaining the Company’s Regulated Pipeline Gathering Program and ensuring all data collection and reporting is completed according to regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also develop and track capital and maintenance budgets, develop project scopes and maintenance schedules as well as execute projects associated with the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead for the company’s regulated gathering program. This includes development, review, and revision of program documents; staying apprised of notices, proposed rulemaking and other correspondence from PHMSA; and assessing changes to the gathering system.
  • Ensure all elements of the program are completed in a timely manner, forecasting resource requirements to complete tasks.
  • Manage third-party contractors and consultants who execute program requirements on behalf of the company.
  • Develop a documentation storage system and ensure all documents and data are captured and stored according to program requirements.
  • Provide support to Development Team on requirements for new pipeline or modification projects. Successful candidate may also manage some pipeline related projects.
  • Coordinate with Construction Team pipeline repairs and other maintenance work to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with Field Operations and consultants requirements for internal corrosion control.
  • Provide training to company personnel on program requirements.
  • Develop and track capital and maintenance budgets associated with the program.
  • Participate and engage in industry advocacy groups for pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Pipeline Engineering, Pipeline Corrosion Engineering, Pipeline Integrity, or in a dedicated regulatory field in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • B.S. in Mechanical, Petroleum, Civil, Chemical, or related engineering degree.
  • Intimate working knowledge of 49 CFR 192, particularly as it relates to regulated gathering. Knowledge of CO pipeline (non-gathering) and air regulations a plus.
  • Working knowledge of key industry standards associated with regulated gathering: ASME B31.8, ASME B31G, API 1104/ASME Sec IX, etc.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external corrosion control and mitigation a plus.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to function in a multi-discipline team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills inclusive of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and GIS applications.
  • Will require approximately 25% travel to field locations.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
